France: Face masks compulsory in 30 departments

In response to an increase in Covid-19 infections associated to the extremely infectious Delta strain, 30 French departments have imposed an obligatory mask wearing regulation for outdoor places, impacting several attractive coastal cities where people have come for their traditional summer vacation.

Masks are now required in outdoor areas in Morbihan and Côtes-d'Armor, popular with visitors and families seeking sea and sun in western Brittany, France.

In August, additional health measures to combat the spread of Covid-19 will be implemented in 30 of 96 departments across continental France.
