In the United Kingdom, the situation regarding people seeking residency rights during Spain and Brexit.

During the transition year before the UK finally left the European Union on Thursday night, many British nationals started the process of applying for Spanish residency. Some of them already lived in Spain, while others planned to do so, but mainly because of events.

The fact that the coronavirus preventing travel and the fact that many applicants did not begin the application process until later this year has created a large backlog. As a result, it has become increasingly difficult to obtain residence appointments by the end of the year.
