Greece will resume its economic activities from December 1

Deputy Development Minister Nikos Papathanasis (Nikos Papathanasis) said that Greece will gradually resume its economic activities from December 1, when the country’s second national lockdown plan will end.

Speaking on Skai TV, Papathanasis explained that the Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation in Greece appears to be stabilizing, indicating that the spread of the virus will be severely reduced.

The deputy minister said that retail stores and restaurants are planned to open first.

Papathanasis explained that after the first lockdown, the government will follow a restart plan similar to that implemented in the spring.

The recovery of economic activity in the country will begin with the opening of small shops.

There retail stores will open a in one week, the restaurants in two weeks, and indoor areas in three weeks.

He added that the restart will be carried out under strict measures and to ensure that congestion on the street will be avoided.
