France to relax the Covid lockdown rules

The French government said on Sunday that France will begin to relax the coronavirus lockdown rules in the next few weeks in three phases to avoid another outbreak in the pandemic. 


On Tuesday, President Emmanuel Macron will deliver a speech to the nation on the virus situation and may announce a partial relaxation of restrictions imposed since October 30. 


In view of the health status and the risks associated with certain companies, there will be three steps easing policies: the first step is around December 1, then before the year-end holiday, and then January 2021," government spokesman Gabriel Attal told Le Journal Du Dimanche.told Le Journal Du Dimanche. 

Attal said: "If their health conditions improve, we have promised to allow them (the shopkeeper) to reopen around December 1." 


He added that bars and restaurants "will continue to be restricted." 


The number of new coronavirus infections in France on Saturday increased by 17,881, down from 22,882 last Friday, while the number of hospitals infected with COVID-19 has fallen for the fifth consecutive day to 31,365.
